Does anybody have any idea how to do this? Is this possible? I was all for sending it out to someone to have them fix it, but I need it soon and I'm going out of town in a few days. Now I need to do it myself. I have plenty of different pocket clips from various knife projects, but I have no idea how to attach them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unless you want it inset a bit or want the texture smoothed under the clip, the easiest option is just drill and tap it.

Kiah, thanks for the reply. How does one go about drilling and tapping?

Just figure out what size screws the clip uses and buy a tap that size with an accompanying drill bit, and a handle for the tap.

Drill your holes where the screws need to go with the bit (open the blade and tools for this in case you go through the scale), and then use the tap to make the threads. Sounds a lot more complicated than it actually is and the scales are aluminum, so there's no real effort. Just keep everything straight.

On a side note. Since the scales are aluminum, you might wanna go with fairly coarse threaded screws (and the corresponding tap) and be careful of overtightening.

That's a really interesting clip beestokk and I'm a member of Amazon Prime so I could have it overnighted to me for cheap. My only worry is that the Alox SAK's aren't very smooth surfaced.

true, good point. i feel like i've come across reports that it works on them despite that though. i guess you could sand or file down the area you want to place it and remedy the concern that way?
