The question is which one should I buy first? What did you guys buy first?

Here's what's on my list:
Kershaw Tilt(If I could actually find one)
Microtech Select Fire
Chris Reeve Sebenza
Strider SNG

CRK sebenza is pretty much the most popular semi-custom folder on the planet

I prefer the hinderer xm18 but i'm a flipper guy.

MT makes a great knife, but i wouldn't own one if they were free.

I love strider's but no flipper is a no go for me.

Kershaw tilt is worth every penny... of course everyone else in the world agrees with me (not literally) so you can't find one without mugging someone who already has one.

Check out some of Zero Tolerance's offerings too and the Spyderco Lionspy

while you're looking, the DDR gunhammer is a LOT of knife for a very nice price

Will Zermeno has a forum here and he makes one of the best priced customs on the market. I personally love his designs

Check out a ZT 0550/1, 0560/1, 030X.
But off of the list I'd say the Sebenza.
I've owned the ZT's I've mentioned and I now own a Sebenza and nothing beats it for me, I have found the perfect knife for me.

I actually have an 0550 and I have an 0350 coming in the next couple days. I wanted to try out something different. The DDR Gunhammer is nice, but not really my style.

No Tilt for me as I want some belly in the blade.
Sebenza first, Strider Sng if you have some passion for flair and tactical,
No MT for me..

The tilt is awesome. I wish I still had mine!

I say if you can find one, get it, if not go get a strider SnG. I just got another one with double gunner grips and it's frickin great.

i held a zt 560 at a gun show last week and that thing is seriously BUILT... impressed the hell out of me

Lycosa: I'm a collector/user. I don't buy anything that I won't carry and use. I mainly use my knives for opening boxes, cutting zip ties, food, envelopes.

beprepared: Yeah I have handled a 560 as well and it's very cool, but I like my 550 better.

Thanks everyone for your input.

I can highly recommend the ZT0560. For the money ($260 new, ~$220 in the FS section), it is one of the best blades you can get. I love my Sebenzas as well, but in terms of bang for the buck, it's really hard to go wrong with the ZT.

With the savings over the Sebbie or SnG, you can almost get a Microtech SF.
