Mark,
I've only made 2 knives and am already 4 times your age, but I'm impressed with your work and especially with your obvious carving ability!
You obviously have a good teacher!
John

Mark I like what you have done to this point and I love your carving your work looks clean and well thought out. welcome to BF

Welcome to Blade Forums Mark.
You are off to a good start. Did you make the sheaths as well?
I would like to see more of both you and your father's work.

Very nice looking knives! I really like the carving on the handles. I been known to do some of that myself, but mostly in stag. The best news is your Dad is giving you time and pointing you in a great direction. You are a talented and fortunate young man. Welcome to the forum!

Greeting fellow 13 yr old knifemaker. Me and you are the two youngest members of bf by the way.

Mark those are some beautiful knives and you obviously have a natural talent for carving. Your father has taught you well and has a lot to be proud of!

Hi Mark, Welcome to bladeforums.
I can see some real talent for your age. If you are interested in knifemaking I say learn all you can and start to develop your style. It looks like carving may be your intersts but I like the spacers and pin work you have done best. Keep it up young friend.

Welcome to the forums.

It is good to see that knifemaking is happening in Israel. Keep up the nice work, and post often.

Good day for All!
Thanks for the kind comments. On first two knives Father helped me to sew the sheath, because it was difficult to me (I was 11 years old). Sheath for a third knife I completely make myself. Tell me please how insert the photos from my own computer,(not URL).
This is one of the last works of my father
Thanks,with best regards,

Welcome to BF. I like your style and workmanship. Great Job. You have some talent there!

Welcome Mark and thanks for posting your work. I also like the carving you have done.

I remember seeing some your fathers work in David Darom's book The Art of Modern Custom Knifemaking. You are very fortunate to have your father to learn from and it will be good to see some of your future work.

Peter

that's an impressive introduction to the forum! Welcome!

I'm sure I don't have to tell you, but you are so fortunate to learn such a fascinating trade from your father. The days of handed-down careers/vocations have been over for the past few decades, at least on this continent with our constant hunger for more and more, and it's good to see that it still exists. It's inspiring, in fact.
Anyway, don't mean to ramble, but whether you continue to adopt the family trade or not, you obviously have strong will and a determination which will steer you along the right directions as you come into your own.
