Right now I use a Whisper LowBoy 3-burner forge.
But for many situations I could use less heat.
The problem is that the Whisper forge used square pipeiing to run the gas to the firebox.

I would like to know if anyone who also owns my type of forge has found a way to install some valves to be able to cut off gas to the two other burners and run with just the one burning going?

I could use ideas on how to splice in a valve on the square piping.

Alan, just turn down the pressure on the regulator. It will keep the temps down a lot.The better way to go is purchase an electric solenoid valve and a PID controller. The two should cost less than $100,maybe less than $50. With the PID set to the desired temp and hooked to the solenoid (which is attached in the fuel line) the forge cycles on and off to keep a constant temp +/- about 15 degrees. The plus is that you can look at the reading an know what temp you are working at.The hot chamber will relight the gas as soon as it comes in. If you are using this set up at a lower temperature, you will need to rig up a pilot flame, which is not a big problem either.
