As the operator of Florida's Home for Retired Khukuries. I am please announce the grand opening of a new housing wing. The expansion will provide a comfortable living space for many more of our senior khukuries. The place will accomodate all those crusty 100 year old military veterans and their "too good for work" aristocratic counterparts. Our senior residents will receive the respect their advanced age merits. They will be bathed and pampered in lightly scented oils and will never have to perform heavy manual labor again.

In the process we have unfortunately displaced hundreds of younger knives of all walks and styles. All of which are in search of new homes.

You can help by sending in your old timers, and adopting some of the youngsters in exchange.

I have put together the profiles of some of the available knives here. If you believe you have a worthwhile candidate to exchange, email me at:

That's a lot of stuff. You must be anticipating a large influx of retirees.:)

for your new establishment? I have a list of references, so you can check up on my previous caregiving. Oh, wait! You seem to have one of my old charges in your facility even as we speak...and the Pry-Axe has been cared for regularly, although I must admit it is very independent.

It also sounds suspiciously like our favorite duck has a new convert

No, my operation should not be compared to the duck's. We are entirely benevolent and as a matter of policy we do not submit any of our khukuries to the cruelty of experimentation and research. :D

You got cable?

Our senior residents will receive the respect their advanced age merits. They will be bathed and pampered in lightly scented oils and will never have to perform heavy manual labor again.

I guano if I want to get involved with the duck in any way.

Berk,
Top left. Send to me IMMEDIATELY for research purposes only, but that may take 10 or 20 years.

N2: do not, I repeat DO NOT let Mr Clifton anywhere near your "old kukris home". He is NOT a saint as claimed. Nuff said.

John,
Exact replicas of top left are available from HI, thanks to Foxjaw's casting. Two hundred year old antler handles for K&C are optional extras, at extra cost.

Here are some elderly candidates......if you can budge them off their shelves

Those certainly represent the caliber of resident that I am looking for. But, I know you well enough to suspect that that top khukuri is so precariously balanced as to discourage the approach by man or pin feathered duck.

Just Beautiful Berk, Very nice, Very nice indeed.
I know you have to be proud of those,:)

Your old Ks will enjoy plenty of good company. We even encourage nude exhibition.

Most of my old fogies prefer to dress for dinner!

(Although I have to ask - how many fullers on 4 from bottom - don't think I've ever seen such a blade!!)

Berk,

The fourth from the bottom is a tin-chirra (3 fuller).

edited to add: South Florida is a relaxed beach community. Dressing for dinner is strictly optional. :D

BTTT,

I just wanted to let you know that I have added a few hard to get non-khukuri items that may be of interest to you:

Specifically these:
http://home.bellsouth.net/p/s/community.dll?ep=87&subpageid=78126&ck=
http://home.bellsouth.net/p/s/community.dll?ep=87&subpageid=77877&ck=
http://home.bellsouth.net/p/s/community.dll?ep=87&subpageid=78418&ck=

Of course with these out of the way there may be room for an older K or two. So drop me a note if you have an candidate for the retirement home and want to trade.

n2s

pssst.... did I mention that everyone on these forums gets 20% off if they buy/trade before May 10th? :D
