So I carbonized the lock face of a small Sebenza! I saw on the how they are made video, and confirmed with Heather today, that the lock faces are heat treated titanium instead of the ceramic I thought they were made from. I have an older Sebenza- actually a BG-42 regular  that the lock had crept almost all the way to 100%. So I figured what the heck and busted out the tungsten carbonizer and put a nice shiny layer on the lock face! It moved the lock over some, and because of careful taping before there are no other signs of what I did. I might have to try it on more of my sebenzas now!!

Unfortunality I did not think to take pictures until after I was finished, but here is the finished lock face along with the knife back together!

Wow you live on the edge. I could never do that to a crk. Great job.

Looks nice.

As a side note, I did not know that CRK ever cut their lockbar reliefs like that. That looks really, really great.

I hate to nitpick, but I believe the proper term is "carbidization/carbidized/carbidizer", as well.

It does lay down a layer of tungsten carbide, after all.
