I got a sharpmaker too....i cant believe how easy and effective it is...

The Sharpmaker is an awesome tool. The key is to kep your knife sharp instead of letting it get dull and then getting it sharp again. When I come home at night, I take whatever knife I used that day and give it about 10 strokes on each side. I leave my Sharpmaker set up on my "knife" table with the white stones edges out.

Great gifts Hitthespot, and definately a keeper family!!:D:thumbup::D

I just got done finishing a couple of folders on the Edgepro. I started earlier but got side tracked. Very good results. Both knives are very sharp. I think I will need a finer stone than the 320 that came with the Apex. I like that really polished edge, but again good results so far. I will try touching up a couple of knives tomorrow on the Spyderco, hopefully I will be equally happy with the results from it.

Merry Christmas

I've never tried the Edge Pro but have heard a lot of good things about it, especially being able to use to regrind the cutting edge.

I cut a new angle on my Kershaw mini Cyclone with ease. The Apex did not come with the DVD I would of liked to have had, but so far I'm getting good results from just using my own common sense.

Thanks Muashi,

I enjoyed watching the video. Picked up a couple of tips. It always seems like you pick up more information when you watch a video as compared to reading the manual.

Happy Holidays
