I was board so I designed a khuk.

This un-traditional khukuri has a curved front portion, that also includes clipping similar to one of a Bowie knife, for increased stabbing power. Because you might be tempted to test this I also included a non intrusive finger guard. This is to prevent your fingers from pulling a disappearing act. It also has a slightly angled down handle to increase chopping power. There is a pronounced mid handle ring for added grip, and the handle is oval for increased stability.

This is the version with no guard. Let me know which you prefer.

This is closer up, revealing that each handle and guard style has a number.

Handle#1: this is the same handle on the blade, and features many a few deep, large grooves to redirect moisture to maintain your grip on the khukuri.

Handle#2: this is almost the same; but, it is curved downward a tad more. The pummel and bell are angled back more then 1. It features some medium width medium depth grooves to redirect moisture to maintain your grip on the khukri.

Handle#3: this handle is straight, and features three curves. One concave, one convex, then one more concave before bell and pummel. It has a pronounced middle ring much like all the handles, and many thin shallow grooves to redirect moisture to maintain your grip on the khukuri.

Handle#4: this handle is curved downwards the most out of all the blades. It has three pronounced rings for grip, and has no grooves. The pummel is angled back at what looks to me like 30 - 20 degrees. It has a extruding bit on the back of the pummel. The back of the handle has a concave bit for your palm to rest on.

Handle#5: handle 5 is the simplest of all the handles. It is straight, and has one pronounced ring mid-handle. It is straight, and has a traditional bell and pummel shape with an extruding bit on the back off the pummel.

Guard#1: this is the most modern, and non traditional guard of the selection. It is a steel D guard.

Guard#2: guard 2 is a simple guard, it is long and thin.

Guard#3: this guard is a short, thick, strait guard.

Guard#4: this is a long, thick curved guard.

Guard#5: this is a thick, short, curved guard.

*DISCLAIMER* I am a complete noob to this. Feel free to criticized, and suggest handle, blade and guard designs.

Please tell me your opinions on this blade, and give me your favorite combination of guard and handle. I personally like handle 4, with guard 4. I hope you enjoy this post, and I apologize for the rough art work.

Looks pretty good, man. Reminiscent of the KHHI chukuri or perhaps the scourge.
Any ideas on handle materials/finish?
