So I did this :)
Actualy it's for a customer, he has two others in this pattern,different sizes and damascus patterns.Now he get's a third.
Steel is 152 layers of O-1/1095/L6/15n20
Blade is 4.375" and 9.625" overall, flat grind from .187" stock.
Scales are dyed camel bone with mosaic pin and black liners.

That is real nice! Great pattern on the damascus & the giraffe sets it off.:thumbup::thumbup:

Are you kidding me, that's unreal damascus, design, craftsmanship from tip to stern.

Wow thats awesome! I love the deep black of the etch! I have one question though, I cant figure out how you'd get 152 layers from 4 initial layers? Did you begin with 2 then ad 2 more later in the mix?

that is a looker. Only thing I would change if it were mine (I wish) would be a more subdued color for the bone. That is a great shape for a user too (if the owner could ever bring him self to use it).
 
I have to agree about the color of the color of the bone.:eek: I'm a traditionalist I guess. Wonderful knife otherwise. I have some blue handled pieces but not quit that vivid.:)
That is beautiful Damascus and a great shaped blade.:thumbup:
 
THe way the colors contrast between blade and handle is really something special, its weird how they go together!
