Just to spread the joy around a bit i thought i'd share with you all that my home was robbed while i was at work today. Luckily the only items taken were trivial and replaceable things like dvd player, mountain bike :grumpy: and dvd's cd's and such. I thank heaven they left the knives and the only firearm i had in the house alone.

That still sucks. I remember many years ago someone getting in and stealing some items from our home. I felt so violated. God help them if we would have been around with all the weapons my dad had (as did I at the time).

Hope the mountain bike was a cheapo:(

Sorry to hear that. :( Our homes are our castles, and more and more they've need of becoming fortresses. I don't worry much about mine, but I also have a big dog who likes to kill things.

Dang! I'm sorry man. Hope the police can help. Good luck and God Bless.

Sorry to hear that mate.

We were also robbed about five years ago. My wife actually passed the burglars at the front gate. They sprayed our dog with aerostart a product for starting cold diesel engines; we had to take him to the vet for an injection to stop him vomiting.

Fortunately the safe was impenetrable, we lost only electrical goods. I know how you feel at this moment.

Filed a report when i got home. They took fingerprints of some items that got moved/destroyed. I doubt anything is going to happen. Nothing important to me was taken (besides my bike which i will miss i'm sure) and i'm glad it wasn't worse. It puts my gear into perspective, nothing that i need to survive was taken, only stuff that is nice to have. I will survive, and take steps to ensure some goober street trash moron can't endanger my chances for survival.

He took my dvd player, cd's, dvd's, bike, and tried to take my tv. In plain sight he left my shovel, busse steel heart, hatchet, BoB, case of mre's. I had tons of survival gear just laying around in closet, shelf, cabinet. I will really miss my bike, sort of miss my dvd player (easily replaced) and the misc. dvd's and cd's that got taken will also be easily replaced. Allthough unfortunate, it reminds me of what's really important. Nothing critical was taken.

I am responcible in part due to rooming with a fellow lacking in basic common sense. I won't try to displace blame any further. I will be finding lodging aside from this fellow asap and leave it at that.

Scott

P.S. Any blades i buy at blade west will be directly taken to northern CA to my brothers house for safe keeping.

:D

Sorry to hear this happened to you, doesn't matter what was taken the thief should still be executed if caught.

DVD's? Nooooooooooooooooooooo, a man's DVD collection is his castle. I'm afraid to ask, how many titles did you lose?

Scott,

Thank God you had a dumb burglar! Sorry for your loss especially your bike, but a couple of Busse's would have really been a serious setback. I have 10-15 just lying around the house. They will ALL get moved into the safe today with only the EDC left out.

If no safe, perhaps you could rig up a hidey-hole to keep the Busse's out of sight? A thought since burglers often return to get what they missed on the first trip.

Sorry to hear that; it sucks!
I've been robbed as well, a number of years ago, and am still steamed about it!
At least nothing irreplaceable was stolen... and no one was hurt.
Take care,
Rob:)

Actually you were burglarized, not robbed, unless someone was at home when it was going on.

I am sorry that happened to you.:(
