Wouldn't it be really cool if you guys made a serious jungle knife ? I'm talking about the kind of bush knife designed for living in the jungles of Africa for a couple months .You know the 10-14" bladed short machette in A2-or L6 something you could totally depend on without fear of failure, for building a raft, shelter, spear, trail clearing,4 bedroom house making kind of knife. A total no bull@hit knife all performance no fluff, but very comfortable knife .
What do you say?

Ken,
I'm hoping that they are doing just that. Duane is making a knife for my brother to take to Africa for 2 1/2 years. We'll see how it works out for him.

Uh....what about the PAB? I realize that it's "only" got a 9.25" blade but isn't that big enough? Just a thought.....

You were thinking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What happened??? TV fried??????
Are you trying to start a fad?????

Tom, yes some of us think sometimes, but it hurts but we can do it when we really have to, or the cable goes down.

Ken,

Look here for your do-it-all blade from Strider Knives:

Chindit's Monster PAB

There aren't too many of these out there (two that I know of) but for a multi-functional tool, this one'll get the job done and beg for more.

I'm afraid it is hush, hush, secret squirrel stuff. I could tell ya, but then I'd be getting thousands of emails wanting to buy it, as I'm getting one too. :D
Do you think that the bait has been set on the hook yet?

WOW! You guys have gotten me to start thinking too!!!!
I bet it has a handle and is long and kinda looks like a machete!!
:p:p:p

Uh oh! Tom knows too much.

Ryan, we have to silence him. Any suggestions? Rum? a bullet? Secret agent hitman  ?

Brian, the link didn't work. Here's the picture:

I understand, aerial torpedo wacker, inflight windshield washer, grenade catcher, and spec ops porta potty tech. type of stuff. Verrry hush hush. :p

What you have described, Ken, sounds very much like a golok.

In these parts (that's Southeast Asia), the golok is used mainly by traditional fishermen or folks who live in the riverine areas.

The golok is big enough to do most jobs in the jungle, and tough enough to kill the biggest python (provided you chop off its head first).

What I was thinking of, would be a tactical golok. Something that's about 13-15 inches long. Made of superior rust-resistant material and handle that just won't let you down, something like the G-10.

It won't be too heavy but will have the perfect Strider strength that cuts swiftly, swings smoothly and be part of your hand without you feeling it.
