I recently said that I had more slip joints than I needed and determined to stop getting more. But, I found an old Klein & Sons hidden away in a box and sort of remember picking it up at a second hand store decades ago. Then an acquaintance had this unused Boker for sale and I liked the looks and the fact that it is a little dichotomous having both USA stamps and made in Germany on the clip blade. So I guess I didn't have enough:)

A large work knife.

The Boker 9885. I am impressed with the steel.

But I have no idea what the USBPA stands for???

You did say it was unused, yes? Perhaps that's one of what knife distributors are calling "hybrid" knives...parts manufactured in Germany, and sent to the USA for assembly and finishing.

Rugby? That's better than anything I came up with.

I've read little about hybrid Bokers. Due to the trademark on the shield and the instructions in the bottom half of the box (the top of the box was gone). I think it was manufactured after 1986. Would this time frame coincide with the hybrid knives?

US Bicycle Polo Association?

Probably not, but it certainly sounds like a lot of fun.
