and got too much blue loctite in the pivot of my Benchmade Subrosa. The pivot kept loosening even after using some teflon tape so I cleaned the threads and added blue Loctite. This morning I can't open it. Any suggestions on how to proceed? Was considering a blow drier or paint stripping heat gun to try and lossen the Loctite. TIA

I touch the tip of my soldering iron to the pivot head to heat it up in a very localized fashion. Once loose, clean her out with some acetone and redo without the beer;)

I apply loctite on the thread with the tip of a needle. I heard somewhere that if you don't think you're using enough, you are using just the right amount.

Soak for 15 minutes in water that has been boiling. Take the water of the heat first.

Blue isn't too bad to break loose. I like singularity's suggestion. Even really hot tap water should help. A heat gun will be too hot and hard to focus on a small spot.
