......got your attention? Well ,it is because I don't have too.

You see I used to be a knife nut. About a year or so ago I realized I had enough knives to last my great, great grand children's lifetimes', not as many as many of you but pushing 150 in my "collection".

So I decided to reduce. I kept only which fit my lifestyle and use. One fixed blade, as my forum name suggests I love the outdoors, one multi-tool, one chopper (an axe), one SAK (everybody needs one), and one pocket clip- one hand-opener.

Well,the latter eluded me for a long time. Ohhh... I tried ALL the usual suspects ,even Kershaw, but nothing screamed "I am the one". Until yesterday, my first try at ZT, that is when this arrived....

A 1st Gen Blem 0550 from Kershawguy, and it killed me to know it was sitting in the PO less than a 1/4 mile away all day on Monday. Ordered it on Friday, AWESOME shipping , but you guys already know that.


Well anyways....I am sure this is the ONE.... this just might full-fill my needs. I have been using my F1 as a carry knife whenever I thought my SAK might just not cut it. ;)

So far I see it as a folding F1, which isn't a bad thing...

Wow, I really don't think that I could ever do that. I enjoy going through my collection fondling all of the different knives that I have. But, if reducing is what makes you happy, you certainly made a good choice in a folder. Enjoy!
 
I know exactly how you feel. The 0550 is my favorite ZT so far, has been since I got it and since it almost died at the doors of an elevator. Now my CF Blur is my "one", but the 0550 is a close second.
 
Very cool, but as others said downsizing the collection to just 1 folder and 1 fixed blade is a tough one. I managed to downsize my collection to just 6 folders and 2 fixed blades and there is absolutely no way I can get rid of anything else at this point.

Very nice! Buy you know what they say about ZT, "You can't only have one." That's what I say, anyway...

I like my 0550BLK gen 2 over my 0561. It is just a great looking and well thought out knife. I can carry it in my pocket no problem and it fits my hand just right.

+1. I almost never carry my 560 anymore since getting my 550. I however still carry my 0400 and 0200. Sold off the 350's.
 
my 0550 is always in my pocket...I'm currently trying to decide on getting other models or just more 0550's and modding them to my liking
 
I edc my 2nd gen 0550 blem from kershawguy at work and on the weekends. I have an 0200 and like it too but the 0550 is a damn good edc knife for the bigger knife guys. Damn near perfect! The 0200 stays next to me at night on my nightstand. Can't wait for the new models to come out to compare.
