I love these single bolster swiss army knives. I wish that a maker like GEC would produce something along these lines. Anyone else like these?

It would need to have a cap lifter for me to get really interested in it ;). Wouldnt hurt to lose the can opener for something like a small sheepsfoot blade(think SAK Alox Electrician) either. I could really get behind something like that.

If I had a knife with all that stuff,I think I could get the cap off a beer!

I wouldnt mind a philips either. Just needs a little more modernizing, the can opener(while having several uses im sure) is outdated and not needed in todays world.

I'd be happy with GEC producing any camp/Scout style. The old SAK pattern is really cool though, just needs a cap lifter along with the can opener, flat head screwdriver and awl.

You've solved the dilemna! GEC should make a scout knife, but how do they keep the price from skyrocketing out of the stratosphere, with stag, exotic wood and bone covers?

Make it part of the Farm and Field line. This is a great idea. rma, knifeswapper, waynorth. Please put a flea in the ear of GEC, this is a great idea.

I've decided the next "new" GEC I buy will be a scout. I don't see how they can keep one afordable based on their current pricing. Even in the F&F line, a four implement knife would be well over $100 - don't you believe?

I think we all have a I wish GEC would make knife mines a #73 with a clip point and a saw blade

GEC could certainly do the traditional Scout or Camp knife, a great deal of respect. It's just a patter I suspect, they could get right. The 2011 forum knife with its cap lifter, was a step in the right direction. A less expensive F&F model would be ideal, for some. Still cost, could possibly be quite high, seeing as Case's Scout knives are pretty steep. I never was a boy scout, but even I like an SAK or Camp knife. It's just a handy pattern, good for anyone in the outdoors.

Sounds to me like a perfect oppurtunity for an ENTREPENUER to step up for an SFO!
