After a long fight with VA, I was able to get copies of the X-rays of Schrapnel in my Groin/leg area! ...and after 2 hours of screwing around with programs to display it...I am offering up for you to see!

So sorry GF!!!

How long have you lived with this??? Any chance they'll be able to remove it?

Don't be sorry...this pays my INFI bill! It has been almost 2 and half years...and about 7 denials for surgery....they say it is resting directly over the Femoral Artery and that removing it would cause more pain and damage than just leaving it there......I don't think the doctor ever had a hunk of steel shoved up his @ss, so I don't think he knows what he is talking about!

Sincerely I am grateful for what you have done for this great Country. Only your sacrifice and the sacrifices of others have given us the freedoms we have today. Thanks for your service and for the pain you endure for us.

I came to my senses and realized you are younger and in much better shape than I am, you could be dragging a howitzer and still beat me to the trough ;)

Thanks for your service.

Jason, I've sort of known about something like this from our previous interactions, but have been previously unaware of the specifics. As others have already stated, I too salute you for the bravery you've shown, both abroad and here in the face of adversity. If it were not for people like you and many others here laying it all on the line, there would be many others, especially our children, who would likely never have a reasonable chance at life. You took care of business for this country, and now I hope with everything in me that this country will take care of business for you! Please give me a shout if you even remotely think that I could somehow help.

Yikes... I thought that looked real close to the Femoral, As close as it looks I'd fear if you ever were involved in another accident it could severe the artery.

You could always show him what it feels like... Shove a Game Warden up his @ss and see how he likes it :D

I find it unacceptable that they treat our service men and women like this... I hope they finally get it removed.

Gives the term "Get the Lead Out" a whole new meaning.

I agree 100%.

This is the kind of crap that really pisses me off about how we treat people who are in service of our country. If I go on about this I'll get a warning about having posted in the wrong forum.

GF I hope that you get what you need out of these jerks.
