I wish the BK7 and BK9 came with the same sheath as the BK2!

Or the same type of sheath that comes with the Esee Junglas.

Yes I feel like buying a big knife!

I couldn't agree more.. I purchased a BK7 a few weeks ago and I cannot stand the sheath.. As a matter of a fact, I just ordered a Kydex sheeth for it today.

If they all came with sweet sheaths, that would put people like me out of the job. :D

As sweet as that would be, there is just no way that I could keep up with their production.

Aw c'mon whats a couple thousand sheaths a month? Seriously the 7 and 9 sheaths are ridiculous.

I wish they did too. But it's water under the bridge now ! Trust me, custom sheaths ROCK ! You can get it EXACTLY the way you want it. Don't throw the old one away, use it for something else.

I want to buy a BK7 or a BK9 but I can't bring myself to do it because of the sheath. Having to buy a new sheath and throw the existing one away goes against my nature. I can't do it!

I hope Mr. Becker and the people at Kabar read this thread!

Great sheaths! What's the little guy? Is that a Metolius?

Yes it is. I like it alot, enough for a custom sheath & riding piggyback ! LOL I also have since modified my BK7 & BK9 with a large choil & some jimping & they still fit the sheaths perfectly.

Flexxx---that sure is a pretty sheath you got there !

i don't think the 7 and 9 would fit in the 2's sheath :D

and of course, don't forget the other models that come in the fabric style sheaths, like the 5.

actually, the 5 and the 7 MIGHT just fit into the 3's sheath... have to give that a fiddle sometime. if i can find it. that sheath broke years ago, and i replaced it with an Specops, which IS known to fit the 5 just fine, and the 7 (slight mod for width), and of course, the 3.

I plan on getting a Junglas sheath for my BK9. I tried modding the sheath and failed miserably so I'm just gonna buy a new one. My BK9 fits my Junglas sheath like it was made for it. Then ill add that ESEE molle pouch and I'll have one epic blade system.

This was exactly what I thought as well.

That said, I wouldn't mind a BK2 style plastic sheath for the 9, it seems like it might be more versatile than their current offering.

This would be a good option for my niner. Can we get pictures of this?

Does it rattle?

Thanks

Pretty much the opposite here.

I like the 9 sheath and wish my 2 came with one like it.

I have been thinking about finding an unwanted stock 7 sheath and using it for my 2.

I'm a big fan of the 7 and 9 sheaths....same as the old BK10 sheath. very versatile and far superior to what the bk2 is in these days...

I'm on board with a kydex sheath for the other BKs. the factory sheath is a decent build quality but horrible for actually using/carrying the knife. the bk2 sheath is great I used the factory sheath plus the lower section of a esee molle back to create my idea of a perfect drop-leg sheath for my bk2. I would like to see some pics of the BK9 in a junglas sheath. I really want a 2 piece kydex for mine rather than a foldover like all the off-the-shelf sheaths I have found. I emailed one guy about a custom sheath but never heard back. I also got the idea to try "poor man's kydex" but the PVC pipe I had on hand is a real pain to work with and whenever you heat it it goes back to it's original shape and fights every step of the way. I should just break down, build a press and get real kydex and do it right. even going all out for the right stuff would probably be cheaper than one custom sheath, for sure 2, and defiantly the half-dozen or so that I want.

If you're looking for kydex, I'd suggest looking at azwelke's work (forum member here) http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...heaths-azwelke?highlight=AZWELKE+KYDEX+BECKER

I don't have a sheath of his (yet), but many others here do and I think the pictures speak for themselves. If you scroll down a bit on the link above you'll see the two-piece or 'pancake' style sheaths. Prices are very reasonable too.

If you search his name in the Becker forum you'll see a few reviews people have done too.
