Being friends with knife makers is sometimes hard. Let me explain, when you are a friend, they will sometimes tell you things in TRUST.

Today is a hard day! I called Fisk yesterday to see how things where going. He told me, in his normal humble way, OK. Then he said,"What are you doing tommorrow? You ought to come up here." Well, I'm no dummy. I know when Jerry says I ought to come, I ought to come!

I picked my wife up from work and to Jerry's we went. I told her this would be the only time she would be able to see the knives because they would be gone after the Blade show. I'm going, she's not.

Do you remember Floyd's "Wish you were here"? Well, I wish you had been there. The only reason I'm talking about it now is because the Blade show is less than a week away, and I'm not going to really break Jerry's trust.

Jerry had been telling me the idea for this knife for over a year. I could not get the TRUE picture till today. IT IS THE FINEST FISK KNIFE I HAVE EVER SEEN. PERIOD. My wife got excited! Does that tell you anything? It will be talked about for many years to come.

Sorry, just can't break trust.

Darby, that is cruel, really cruel. You tell us all about this wonderful new knife and then you leave us hanging. You ought to be flogged. :p

It's blade is steel
It's fittings are-----
It's handle is ----
It has little ---- all over it

Well after reading the initial post by Darby I had to send an email off to Jerry to find out about this knife. I could now fill in those blanks as well. From what Jerry wrote, that must be one fantastic knife. i can hardly wait to actually get a look at it.

To all those that must be wondering what it is that we are talking about. :p :D

I will tell a little more. It's handle is walrus ivory. It has a slot toward the pommel area where a peice of oosic would have been tied and used as a war hammer. It is damascus and it has these little ----- all over it. It could be in any ART museum in the world. It's GREAT.
