I wish ZT would use a standard, slotted pivot screw like Hinderer does

They will be with the 0392 ;)

Which appears to be a limited edition model. I doubt it'll be a common feature on their standard production products due to the tendency of slot drives to cam out. Torx is common on mass manufactured products for a reason.

Frankly, I think slotted screws are ugly and basic looking. I'm glad that they don't use those, honestly.

I've stripped more torx pivots, trying to guess the size.

Agreed.

To go a step further, I for one would appreciate more screw designs to use the deep hex design that CRK uses. I couldn't imagine stripping out one of those bad boys.

I've never stripped a Torx screw. If I don't know the correct size right away, I use progressively larger bits until a bit no longer goes in as deeply as the last one. ZT's product care page tells you what sizes they use.

Yes -- that's good advice.
And I agree about the CRK pivots.
And I still wish ZT would match Hinderer's pivot screws!

I agree with all of the above. I only agree with wanting ZT to standardize the Hinderer pivot screw because I plan on getting the 0392(if i'm fortunate enough to that is) and I would hate to have to get an Armorer tool for that knife alone. I refuse to pay the secondary markup for an Eklipse or XM-18 and would like to see a tool costing me roughly $80 be put to use.
