...other various types of products and manufacturing companies stood by their products and had the kind of integrity that Busse/SRKW/SYK shows.

I hear so many horror stories about big, successful companies in various industries treating their customers like crap, forcing you to pay for limited warranties, and then giving the customers crap when their product breaks, demanding a receipt, proof of warranty, and where the item was brought, as well as exactly what you did with it, and they find any way they can to not refund or replace your broken product.

I read and hear these stories and always think about how amazing Busse is as a company, especially regarding their warranty. I don't have to tell any of you just how great Jerry and all of his employees are.

While Jerry's knives are certainly the epitome of what I'm talking about, it also applies at least to some extent to many fine knife manufacturing companies like Spyderco and Kershaw. I've had nothing but good experiences with the knife industry.

It makes me happy to be a part of such a great hobby with such great companies that really care about their products and their customers. I wish the rest of the people in charge of making all the crap we buy would take a moment to look at the knife industry, and how a business should be run.

I can only think of two other companies, Ranger Knives and Himalayan Imports, that offer the same type of warranty service and customer satisfaction that Busse does. Outside of the Holy Trinity, they are few and far between.

One (OK, a couple) thing I would like to ad, is that, in my experience, no other manufacturer chimes in on a personal level and comes across as personable while conducting business and answering questions. Jerry's responses to warranty issues are succinct and extremely clear, besides downright freakish in time most manufacturers of any kind are compensating for the inflated costs of metal. I've never seen a post from him denouncing anyone elses products, in fact, quite the opposite.
I hear the term "fanboy" occassionally, but I just can't see getting offended at the label when I see the kind of people I am amongst.
And then, there are the blades. 'Nuff said!

Just had to ad, I hope to meet Jerry and many of the Busse "Fan Club" someday.

HI and Strider are both good companies to deal with, but come on, AMY-O AND THE GANG ROCK. Busse is by far the best company I have ever dealt with on every level imaginable. Love you guys, and the knives are ehhhh......;)

Sal Glesser of Spyderco deserves a mention, I think. He's very similar to Jerry in that he participates and interacts with his customers, and goes above and beyond to make things right by people.

I agree about the great people here. I just met Mike (ThatMGuy) at the Ohio show. He was really cool, ended up talking to him for over an hour and didn't realize it until we got out to the car. Picked up a black on black paper PBS. It really is a knife you don't appreciate until you handle.
