Okay, it's not earth shaking news, but I've got to brag just a bit
:D

Yesterday, Dec 22nd was our Semi-Annual Sword Tournament and at the end, your humble (well, maybe not at the moment exactly!) Sword Moderator stood as Club Champion!

I hurt, I ache from head to toe, I fought some of the toughest duels I've ever had to fight and the pleasure of being "The Best" (if only for the next six months) makes it worth every "ouch" and "oh!" I'll suffer for the next three days or so.

Although they don't visit here, I'd like to publicly thank my fellow swordsmen for their exemplary gallantry and chivalrous behaviour throughout the day. It is truly a pleasure to be associated with men who conduct themselves with such gentlemanly deportment.

Well done, well fought, and come Saturday, we begin again!
(You have six months to get ready, better start now!)

;)

Once again, Ken, you have shown us all you are Sensei!

Congratulations!

Excellent! Way to go Ken. Now just think if you had that Italian rapier by your side.... :)

Way to go my Champion!.... may your aches be fast leaving and the glorious feeling long-lasting. Got pics???? :D

Ken...that's OUTSTANDING! Congratulations! Its gotta feel good to have proven yourself in 'combat' against your peers.:D

Cuts and bruises heal, aches fade, but the lessons learned stay with you forever. It's a damned good trade-off, IMO.

All hail the VICTOR!

I lost my Internet connection before I could respond to this thread again, so pardon me for dragging an old and irrelavant thread back to the top.

I just wanted to thank everyone for the kudos.

As Gaucho intimated;

"Bruises fade, bones heal, but "glory" lasts forever!"
:D

Good job Ken.., congratulations! Yup..."Glory" does have a way of enduring ~~> :)
