Tom,
I think you need a larger drive wheel on the one in the back ground, have you considered using the spare tire from your wife's car?

Hey Tom,

It looks too clean and I don't see any sign of a dust collector. If Jerry did all this work for you then who do you pay to sweep the floor?
If you need someone to sweep up I will gladly move to Hawaii, comb the beach all day and come in late at night to sweep the floor after Jerry gets through toiling away. You will have the cleanest shop in the islands and I will get to work on my tan. I don't eat much and I'm a hard worker. Wait a minute. I eat a whole lot and try NOT to work very much. Yeah, That's it.

Phillip, if you really like sweeping, have you ever contemplated the wonderful carrer opportunites available to you in Sunny Georgia. Heck, I'll get you a tanning bed so you can sweep year round. What could be more fair than that?

cool grinders tom! i have my variable speed control on my wall too. i have my grinder on a pedistal though.
how fast does the wilton go with that big drive wheel?
do you do flats on the disk sander? of put the platen on the wilton?

do all my flats on the disc sander in the front of the pic...its a variable speed too. the tall controller right behind it belongs to it...I have a 12" Delta disc with a big table in front of it too, the kind that has a slot for the miter square, its sitting right next to the other one...about even to where i was standing when i took the pic...this is my 'dirty room'..where i grind etc....the other side of my shop has my lathe and mill and my saw sharpening machine, my drill press and mill, and a big tool and cutter grinder.....plus a nice work bench where i put folders together....alohja

sounds like a nice shop. do you use any frm of dust collection? if you do, which type. thanks tom.
i only have one room in my shop(with big doors) in their is the big belt grinder(3"x132" belt variable speed) 14" bandsaw, for resawing boards into handle thickness. drill press, buffer, surface grinder, and plenty of handtools, along with a big stack of sandpaper, like 400 sheets. along with safety equpiment.
