  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

I wonder.......

Personally I feel part of the fun in getting a new Reeve knife is the "hunt".
I know.....I know.......
Anyways........I'm sure everyone has noticed how hard it seems to be to get or even find certain CRK's lately from a dealer or direct.
I wonder if CRK is working on a project, retooling, or even was awarded some type of Gov contract which has affected their supply line temporarily.
Or does everyone think the demand has just spiked this hardcore within the last 6 months?
Just makes one wonder.
Example........find a Large Plain 21 online. Don't post link obviously....but you know what I mean.
Personally I hope its just that the demand has skyrocketed for them.

Well, I had some correspondence a couple of months ago from the shop where they said they were very backordered at the moment. I think that when new products are introduced (such as the production Insingo and the Ti-Lock), they have to scramble around for a bit. AND it seems demand has increased in the same time period as well. Good combo if you're the manufacturer; not so good for the buyers.

All I know is once I got the bug for them, they were suddenly hard to find...that was a bummer...but I've managed to find some in the used marketplace, so I can't complain too much.

The one's I want are always hard to find. I do agree though the hunt is pretty fun.

I definitely think demand has shot up tremendously lately.OP is right, its hard to find just a basic model 21.In my searches, it seems the inlays pop up more often on the dealer sites.
The search is for me the best part...well second :D

I thought I would never find a Mammoth Bark inlay except from CRK, and was quoted over a year from them. Then one early morning while searching this popped up at my fav dealer from the North ;) I about cried I was soo happy.

Just glad Lisa wasn't logged on as well...lol
