HI,
I would like to be unbanned under my former user name of chad234. I have emailed you guys (Spark and Cougar) with this request.

I have no desire to debate Jerry Busse and wish him no ill. I wil not enter his forum at all.

If you do not want me posting here at all, under any user name, and also do not want me to read the posts here please let me know.

The last time you proposed that deal we did give you another chance, but you don't keep getting another chance and another chance and yet another chance again, not at Bladeforums. When we said we'd give you only one more chance that was what we meant.
 
Damn, Chad is a good dude, a knife nut for sure, and one that gives back quite a bit to the knife community with both his writings and insight...

So he argued with JB and the 'Church of the Holy INFI' zealots, BFD...we all do at first, until we feel the pull of 'all that's good, INFI, amen', calling us over to join the crusade... ;)

Well, this ban of a good contributor from BFC pretty much just dicked up my day... :(

I've lost count of how many times he's been banned -- three times just this month. I had actually forgotten we'd made this deal with him before, and when I saw this post this afternoon I ran around trying to convince everybody to give him another chance -- which I'm pretty embarrassed about now, and now I'm running around apologizing. We have so many perennial trolls at Bladeforums it's hard to keep track of them all....

I feel kind of bad about it myself, have for a long time, because except for that one obsession he does seem like a nice guy. One obsession is bad enough, though, when a guy persists in it long enough. He had a lot of chances before Spark finally said only one more chance (and he didn't just break his promise once in one moment of weakness; he's done a lot more trolling under false names since then). Bladeforums is often criticised for being too tolerant of trolls, giving them too many chances to reform, trusting their promises too many times -- but even we have to draw the line eventually.
