I would love to see kabar make axes

If Kabar made axes in 1085 or some steel close to that it would be sooooo awesome.

Especially with wetter-lings made in sweden...who wouldn't want a good quality US made axe?

Wetter-lings are hard to beat for the money IMHO. But it would be awesome....
 
Me too. Different styles too. Woods-BushCraft-People in Uniform-Self Defense (spike)-ect. HD stuff w/cool stuff added. Like fire steel notch, secondary grip finger grooves (to choke up on it for smaller tasks, that a knife would normally be used for), full tang, Becker handles would be awesome.
 
Yeah man...Becker handles would be awesome or some of tooj's kraton handles.

I would be more for the bushcraft design but yeah.
 
Agreed. I'm in need of a good axe, it'd be great to have it say BK or Kabar. I need to fill in the gap between my heavy knife choppers and the chainsaw.
 
mmmhmm I didn't like how the handle looked. But I would still like a 19'' axe or hand-axe by kabar!

A Kabar Axe would be sweet. I think the Kabar handle would be better suited to an axe or hatchet than would the Becker handle. As much as I would love one, I don't think it's likely to be produced. There are some other nice US made chopping tools. Snow and Neally makes nice stuff, as does Council Tool, and most people are familiar with the Estwing offerings.

Kabar does make a hatchet, but it's imported. :(

I had that small hatchet when I was a kid, it got lost in the forest when I was 14, I have been looking for it ever since. I need to get one of does.
 
Goose_52 tossed up some renderings awhile back that were pretty spot on if I remember correctly. Hammer poll and all.
