My dad recently gave me a knife that he got at an estate sale. How can I know its date/originality? It is stamped with I *XL above the stag handle. On part of the blade it is also stamped with "G. Wostenholm & Son Washington Works Sheffield England" and on another part "Original Design by Colonel James Bowie"

That etch is post WWII, 1960s, 1970's mainly.

Used mainly on these two knives -
