A shout out to strategy9 on his recent give away shown here
Thanks again sir as you mentioned she is a slim sliver of steel in a light package, I would caution folks to not try and baton with this knife, just isn't practical
BUT, for what it's intended purpose is, I think it fills that slot pretty good, I see that there is a newer version out with metal folding wings, so those are probably more substantial than this, but you can cut with this, just be careful !
Also when carrying in your wallet, care must be taken as it's on the flimsy side I don't know if I will actually carry in the wallet but have it more at my desk kind of thing, a discussion starter and also a light edc edge too.
The knife arrived with a toothy edge that would cut, sliced into a nearby priority box pretty easily, the trick is to grip mainly the blade and do not rely on the folded plastic to be a handle, so you are gripping the side of the blade, after I sharpened it, I could just about press cut down through a phone book, pretty sharp so in a pinch it will work for you.
Here's a couple shots of the knife, Ian Sinclair CardSharp
You can see near the tip is a rotating latch to help keep the blade captive, it's more a guideline than a rule I think
as there isn't a detent to keep that spun in it's place.
The wings fold around, blade flips open and there are holes on one wing that the nubs snap into, lightly, again more a guideline than a rule ( said in my best Captn' Barbossa voice )
So there she be, pretty sharp, very light but can be handy when needed in a pinch.
Thanks again for the give away sir!
