Boulder has a green belt isolating us from reality :D, I get out onto some part everyday, today it was the Bobolink (S. Boulder Creek). I remembered to bring a camera with me today and ikkyo's post motivated me to actually post some of my mediocre shots.

Near the trail head

Cool pics Jimmy. We are getting pounded with snow & sleet right now. I live about 40 miles west of Atlanta. we have about 3". tomorrow I will test my FBM & my Boss Jack in the snow & ice !!!!!

Great shots man! I can't believe you were lucky enough to see that red-tail feed. Great stuff!

Nice shots JJ - but I am confused..??

Your H2O is in liquid form...I have not seen that around here in quite awhile - Ours is all SOLID! :)

( I know - I know ...Pics or it did not happen. I will try and get some shots posted soon of our minnesota fair weather......:thumbdn::( .)

Lucky's right, right place right time and a camera.

There's a divided 2-lane between here and Longmont (where the jobs are) the Diagonal Highway, cottonwoods on both sides and some down the middle. It's raptor city, I see hawks, owls, eagles, and falcons swooping down on their quarries all the time, just don't have a camera ready and at 80 er a 65mph, pics don't happen, specially when I'm on the scoot.

Nothing cooler then watching a big old hawk swoop in and fly off with a 5 foot snake in its talons :D:D

Holy shamoly Jimmy Jones!! That does look brrrr!

A lot of extreme weather around the globe at the moment. We're having awful floods in our region. Luckily not right where we live tho.

Sweet! I love raptors and it's incredible to see them hunt. Nice Corgis(?) and INFI as well.

Good stuff, bro, that red tail catch and the pics of the boys is cool. We got some of the white stuff coming to the Carolinas in the AM, love it, still going to see Daddy tomorrow, dread the wonderful NC drivers in the snow, grrrrrrrrrrrh.

Looks like you boys are getting all the snow this year. It's been hanging around -5'F to 10'F. BUT last week we had about 5 days the temp shot up to 40'F and melted the better part of everything off. Now just a lot of ice. Enjoy it while you got it.

nice pics, man!
the snow melted here this weekend, and the ice will, most probably in the next few days...no ice skating on the lakes, anymore...

are there any fish(trout, whatever) in that stream?

Cool pics Jimmy, I seen a hawk fly across the road in front of me one day carrying a squirrel his tail was flapping in the wind. It's awesome you had your camera with you at just the right time. :cool:I like your little buddys too pretty cute.

Great pics, Jimmy, especially of the hawk! Looks like our snow is melting off...and leaving ice. Oh, well...it is winter, after all.

Great pictures JJ
That boboLink Sausage Trail looks like a nice hike.
How do those dogs like the trails?

The lakes and streams down here on the plains, 5300", rarely freeze solid enough to ice skate or ice fish on. Not safe, it'll be in the 50's by Thursday, and most of the snow will have melted (Shhhh). Till the next one

There are rainbow and browns in that creek. Catch and Release. I've grabbed trout by hand out of that creek in the summer. The flow gets pretty low end of June. The fish get trapped in some of the shallower pools. I grab them out of the shallows and move them to deeper pools.

The South BC feeds into the main Boulder Creek east of my house, then into the North Platte, Mississippi then into the Gulf. This is east of the divide.

Lovely pic's Jimmy ....

Your comments about driving and seeing wildlife are so true ....

I once drove over to CZ and going through the dawn in France and dusk in Germany our views were filled with Deer .... on our way for a hunting holiday we all figured seeing so many Deer just had to be jinxing the entire trip .... :D:D

Great Pics Jimmy, The "boys" are too cute, the wife loved em!! (her favorite dog EVER)
Thanks for sharing:D:D
