A client purchaced this walrus ice ax at Little Rock last year.
He wanted to leave as much of the origanal shap and tool marks as posible.
I am pleased with the way it turned out.

Steel is 288 layer random damascus forged by me. 1080-15n20.

Guard and spacer is copper and G-10.

Thanks for looking, Greg

Great! Love that long clip and blade shape, and the transition from artifact to construct. Bet the copper ages into even prettier agreement with the walrus.

I went to your web site to check out what you've been up to.... very nice work Greg! You have a lot of talent. And looky here Mr. John White gave you his sanctified approval!;)

your knife has some major flow man! Everything about it looks right to me.
I think it will look even better as the copper develops a patina.

You definately did the ivory artifact some major justice Greg! The copper will look even better as it ages,or if it has'nt been delivered yet you can apply a liver of sulphur patina. It of course looks great just as it is now!

Very nice, Greg. The blade & handle compliment each other nicely. I'm looking forward to see what you bring to Little Rock this year.
