ice fishing pole for brown trout

im going out on the ice tomorrow and might try for some browns its my first time fishing for them through the ice and was wondering if my 26in medium spinning rod would be up to the task. also any tips would be helpful. thanks
 
Yes it will, and good luck. The only tip I have is what I've experienced. Black Ant with a Waxie, 2' off bottom, don't jiggle it.
