This Flat Grind knife has a Rolling Bevel and is made from 1/8" 01 Tool Steel Bar Stock. The total length of the knife is 7 1/8". The Blade is 3 1/4" with a 3" cutting edge. At the widest part, the blade is 1 1/4" wide.
This knife handle is Ice Micarta with Red Vulcanized Spacers. The Lanyard has two beads that have been handturned, using the same material as the handle. The two 7/16" Mosaic Pins were handmade, by me. This is my first attempt at making pins.
The blade has been etched to add dimension.

I do love making knives. It is my passion, my art. Every knife that I make is for sale and it is still a thrill when each of them sell!!

Hay Rick
good looking stuff, so neat looking and nice workmanship.
I use 01 alot and would like to know how you etched that-is that just plain o1 bar stock? And then how do you polish it?
Another ? is if you use another color spacer under the ice will that show through according to spacer color and do you use any epoxy color?
thanks alot

Jerry,
Thank you. Yes, this is plain old 01 bar stock. It is etched with a mustard patina.
As for the color through the micarta... I have never used another spacer color with this particular material so I cannot say with absolute certaintity that the colors would show through in the same way. I can only say that I would assume that it would.
Thanks again,
Rick
