Seen advice here that the blade guard for an ice-skate can serve as a blade guard for a kukri..... looked up these guards on ebay -- but apart from the small curve for the skate's blade tip, they're (unsurprisingly) straight.
So how would they work on a kukri.... do you heat one and then bend it along its length, so it fits the kukri-blade profile?

I Think.... the guard your looking for is more of a rubber, flexible type,
Don't know the name but maybe a google search will find it.

I have a pair of guards that are for my old hockey skates. They are a nice fabric (with nylon reinforcements on the outside) and would bend easily to fit your kukri, though I would wonder about the length (they might be a little long). My current hockey blades have the hard rubber guards on them and those would be very difficult to mold to an extremely curved blade.

Just my $0.02!
