This weekend in Maine we had some really crappy weather. Lots of rain/freezing rain. We had planned to go ice fishing today since it was the only day that might be ok weather. The day started off ok but quickly turned back to freezing rain. Since we already had some holes drilled and the chance for some decent Brook trout we had to at least try...

We didn't take many pictures because of the weather but here are a few.

We tried jigging.

The freezing rain starting to come down we had to put one of my rain jackets on Becker.

Becker helping check the traps.

We ended up getting one each. One with a trap and one jigging. The BK-14 once again got to clean the fish.

Extreme close up!

Me trying to bait the hook with cold hands. You can see the ice building up on my jacket. By the end ice covered everything we had with us.

We earned this meal.

Thanks for viewing.

What kind of trout are those?
Who caught the bigger fish?:D

Thanks for the pics. Looks like fun! Cold,...but fun.

The picture of Becker in the rain jacket sitting on the pad, it's SO cute, and really funny to me for some reason. Congrats on the catch.

Jeremy, Becker is one lucky dog. His people seem a little funny, tho. Nice pics, good for both of you getting out in the snotty weather. You definitely did earn that meal.

Have only been ice fishing one time. Would like to try again some day. Looks like fun, even in crappy weather.

Looks better than my best day at my current job. The GI gore-tex pants are great aren't they?

Cool! It's been a while since I could walk on a lake around these parts. Always wanted to try some ice fishing. Thanks for taking us along...

Nice trout! they look tasty!
I would have stayed home. good for you for sticking it out.

Thanks everyone! Despite being cold and wet we are still pumped to go out again.

He is a lucky dog. We bring him everywhere with us. Who you calling funny? Don't you own a Bear Grylls knife? LOL!

Best $25 bucks I ever spent. I need to get the jacket as well.
