Iceman's Knife

A couple of years ago, a frozen dead dude was found in the Alps. The guy probably lived about 5000 years ago, before written history. He is very well preserved and he's actually the oldest natural mummy ever discovered.

It's actually a pretty cool dagger. I expected it would look more primitive and have only one edge. He also had a copper headed axe, which I suspect was his main tool.

I watched the show on the Iceman last night on the Discovery Channel. Very informative and interesting!

I was surprised to find that he was so far advanced for that time period. The dagger and the axe did indeed look like very usable tools. The Icemans knowledge of the nervous system and their crude accupuncture was amazing

Very good show...if you didn't get a chance to see it, don't miss it the next time it is aired!
