Iconic Knives, by company

A recent thread on the "Best Spyderco" got me thinking.

My question is not, "What is a company's best knife?" or "Whis is your favorite knife from that company?"

Rather, it is: "What are different companies iconic knife? Put another way, "When you think of that company, what knife jumps into your thoughts?"

E.g.: for Buck it's simple: the 110.

For Spyderco, I think Endura/Delica.

For Benchmade, the Griptillian, or anything with the axis lock.

What about Kershaw?

Other brands?

What do you think?

KaBar = 1217 USMC aka, the "KaBar"

My vote for Spyderco would be the police model-Kershaw would be the Leek-for Case maybe the 6265 2 blade folding hunter or perhaps the Sharktooth?Seems like those knives have been on the market forever.

You are right. I didn't know whether to put the 0200 or the 0350. The 0350 seems a bit more popular but i like the 0200 more.

CRK = Sebenza

Benchmade = Griptilian
Strider = SNG
ZT = 300 series (my personal favorite is a 551)
ESEE = 4 or Junglas
Busse = Any of 'em! :eek::D

Just my .02

Benchmade: Griptilian 551

Buck-110
Kershaw- I liked the Spec Bump when it was out

I wouldn't even try to pick one from companies like ESEE, since they basically make the same type of knife in different sizes. You just choose whichever one suits your needs best.

Buck 110
Spyderco Endura/Delica
Case Peanut
Benchmade Griptilian
Kershaw Blur
CRKT M16

I'm kinda newer to knives, but it seems to me that these knives are pretty much the base cheap model. I wonder if that is pretty much correlated across the board with all knife makers? interesting...

I think the Benchmade would have to be a butterfly knife as that's what they started making and it is their logo. Not my favorite but they were known for them and still are.

I'd say that they're best known for their Griptilian series these days. :)
