Trying to get more info, please.
My knife is marked 894 on the plain tanto blade, which is just about 3 5/8" (3 1/4" sharpened edge). Other than the blade style (and much larger size), it looks like the Promaster at http://www.sportsmansguide.com/VOC/hx0c/pg48/item_6.html.
I cannot find one reference to this knife in Google searching for "Camillus 894." Pretty good info was found in the thread http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=121700. Mine does not have any USMC or other markings. Is it simply a "Promaster Tanto?" Was it only the USMC ones that were rare ("less than 1000")?
Any info appreciated.
Thanks.
Matt
