Hi.
Can anyone help me identify my Gurkha Kukri blade please.
I have just purchased a Gurkha Kukri Mk 2. On the blade by the handle are some markings i.e. Col1Gf the number 1 has a small arrow head above it. Just below the markings there is a date of 1916 and just below the date is a number 43.
The weight of the blade is 1lb 15oz or 820grs it is 13.5 inches or 34.2cm long.
The sheath is 14 inches or 35.5cm in length. and covered in Buffalo hide.

Many thanks
Rogdog

You just said it's a Ghurka Kukri Mk.2. Apparently from 1916. What is your question?--
There is a khuk sub-forum here (Himalayan Imports) with a lot of info. You can ask a moderator to move your post by clicking the report triangle at bottom left of you post. Welcome to BF.--KV

I hate to be there bearer of bad news, but it's a fake. There have always been a ton of those for sale on the internet.

A picture would be really helpful. If you could post a thread in the HI Cantina (not the main forum), we could take a look at what you've got.

Authentic or not, it may be a serviceable blade.
