id axe head

It looks like a Helko (Germany) to me. Does that read 2 kilograms? That's a big one.

yes its a bit big :) i have 1 from carl helspner (pre helko) but that logo does not match. cant find anny other logo's from helko? also i cant tel if there are letter in the crown, even with a lens, it looks like initials but.
a friend who knows a lot about axes also told me it is german most likely 1900/1970. but still a good find for just 4 euro :)

ps. sorry for my poor english

P & Crown I don't get but "2000" grams (if this is the actual stamped number) translates to almost 4 1/2 pounds. This will not be a fashion-camping jobbie nor a chopper. More like a splitting axe. A 'W' might have been for William of Orange or Queen Wilhelmina, 'J' for Juliana and 'B' for Beatrix and I personally have no idea of possible meaning of "P". "Hembrug" was site of the Dutch national armory, namely their equivalent of America's famous Springfield Armory.

Its made in germany. But I dont know the maker.
I have a few firefighter axes of this same manufacturer.

If you Google Images "Danish Surplus Axe" you will find a few pictures of these axes with their paper label intact what may reveal more information of its manufacturer

Helko's stamp is very close...

but that "Danish" surplus axe has an identical stamp, including the P.

Note the label is clearly marked "Germany", with "GPP" above the crown. This exact trademark is listed on this excellent website of European (mostly German) tool trademarks:

http://www.holzwerken.de/museum/hersteller/marken.phtml
"Krone mit Initialen G P P = Gebr. Pandel, Wuppertal-Küllenhahn"

Translates to "Crown with initials G P P = [company name:] Gebr. Pandel, [location:] Wuppertal-Küllenhahn"

Looking up info on Gebr. Panel in this .pdf document
http://stadtgeschichte-wuppertal.de/hheyken_bilder/CronenbergText2.pdf
reveals that the company was founded in 1863 and closed around 1997.

A rough translation by google:
