Well, I finally made it down the stairs, retrieved a few and tried to photograph them. Sharp by Coop I am NOT!
The contest will run like this. The knives are laid out left to right. They are first shot looking at their backs and then the next shot is them opened on their sides. The two other shots are just a little closer to give you some closer shots of the engravings. This selection contains mostly customs, but I threw in some production ones just for the fun of it. The first person posting the name of the maker, in the correct order, left to right. Will win a 100 dollar gift certificate from A.G. Russell.

Please list your name of maker and then what position all of his are in, 1, 2, 3, etc.

This will shorten your list cause the collection has several by one maker.

I will go by post number in case of more than one correct guesser.

If no one names all, then the one who gets the most right will win.

After the contest is over, I can post close ups. But no more hints.

Sorry,

Have some fun, Post 101 it is.

One of the all time greats now deceased, most of these were made in the 70's

I don't know knives as well as I thought :o ,,,but I sure like that first one on the left!

I wish I could give some hints, but the only thing I will say is there are four major custom makers represented. Three factory knives no longer in business, two that are.

You can't fool me. They're all S&W's from Big 5.

When can I expect my check?
:jerkit: :D

I am emailing AG the name of the winner which you are not, so far. But there is always hope. Someone has already guessed two right, now he only lacks 8 more right. Good Luck to you.:)

Hey can we post more than once or is it a one time shot?

Try again, again, and again, I don't mind, the whole point of the thread was to bring some interest in some of the great old guys who did the work, some with recognition and some not remembered at all. Posts are unlimited as far as I am concerned until someone gets ten right. I will then post close ups of the knives,
