can anyone help me identify this blade? Got it for free I'm going to clean it up and fix a handle you it.

Converted sword blade. Sword maker W. Clauberg of Germany. Can't see the full knife, but a lot of Clauberg swords got converted into these style conversions during WWII -

Yes the W. Clauberg stamp is kind of visible. Whoever had it before it got to me really worked it over with a grinder and sand paper or something. It has no handle or tang the guy managed to weld a male 3/8 #10 machine screw into the bottom of it. I'm planning on just boring some threads into a thick aluminum round and wrapping it with leather. Maybe throw a ceramic drawer handle on the butt end. Thanks for the information I was trying to look up Clausberg. I thought I was seeing an S in there.
