Id help

no idear, but that clip point is extreme there...like a skinner setup.

I am thinking it is not a knife from the Philippines. Looks like Coral (red stone) in the handle which could be from the PI, but have never seen Turquoise on a PI made knife. Not sure what the white stone is, Mother of Pearl? or the black stone (Onyx?) Handle looks to be cast. I have a good friend who has a Dave Murphy Neck knife with similar stone set up, and Murphy was known for his cast aluminum handles. Lastly the leather sheath does not look like what I was seeing in the PI. I am leaning more to a knife made by "Phil" copying a Dave Murphy style knife. John

I disagree. Here’s one I found on the bay, didn’t want to active link, but it appears similar construction of knife (cast aluminum handle and same type stones) and sheath (thin leather with laced sides). Sales description says Philippines made. There are other similar examples to be found there.

Centermass, Looks like you got it right. John
just looked on the bay, found two examples with similar construction listed as "Handmade Mexican Philippines Bowie Fighting Knife" what does that mean? Mexican style made in the PI?

Eh, who knows, but the workmanship alone on the OP’s example seemed far from an honest homage to any famous maker to me, and definitely more like a souvenir.

.

Apparently there's some interest in the Philippines for turquoise jewelry, including some in the SW American style. The family in the video above and here - https://www.facebook.com/ArizonaTurq/ , spent time in Arizona and brought it back to the Philippines. They own a few stories there.

There are other artists that spent time in the southwest, then repatriated back to the Philippines also. Kind of surprised me.
