Does anyone know what model knife this is? I found it at an antique store and am clueless as to the model. The tang stamp says:

SCHRADE BRAND
,,,,PORT CONN. USA

Someone sanded the blade and removed part of the stamp. They also put some kind of glossy coating on the handle that I'm working on removing.

It was made by George Schrade Cutlery in Bridgeport Connecticut. Likely after Boker bought the company in 1956 and before Boker closed the factory in 1958. From what I have learned, Geo. Schrade stamped them with "STAGBRAND" and Boker used "SCHRADEBRAND". These knives weren't stamped with a model number, but were given catalog numbers 1 through 6 according to their blade length.

Would you happen to have a picture of the entire knife so I'll know if anyone has ground on the blade?

They were all relatively thin bladed knives, what we now refer to as "bird and trout" patterns. If you look at the ad above, you see that most were plain ground, though there was a thicker sabre ground blade.

I have a knife that looks that the one shown above except it has a bear's head on it and is stamped Schrade-Walden. Any ideas how old it is? Thanks

Circa 1959-63, IIRC. It was a #141 "Tall Tale", a humorous take on the owners' names, "Baer".
