I'd like a Duluth Pack without the big $$$

The title says most of it: I want to buy a canvas, simple, pack for a long, rough trip but I just don't have the big bucks for a Duluth pack. To further complicate things, I'd like it to be non-surplus / non-military -- the area I'm going to is filled with people looking for the next coup. No one knows more than I that you get what you pay for but, just once, I'd like to not have my wife give me the silent treatment for a month. Any suggestions?

1)Call Duluth Pack or Frost River and see if the have any returns or seconds.

2)Monitor FleaBay or your local Craigslist for used.

I have multiple packs from both companies.
