I'd like some advice witch folder to choose

Hello all

My brother is looking for an EDC. He already has a ChinookII and a Millie, so his standards are reasonably high ;)

He wants to daily carry the knife in his pocket so this time he would like a knife a little smaller and less "bad-looking" :rolleyes: BUT, the knife should be capable of handling some serious work!

Him and me got it narrowed to 2 possibilities:

1) The Extrema Ratio Basic Folder 1 (to be found here: http://www.knifeshop.nl/knifeshop/extremaratio/basic.htm)

2) The benchmade mini griptilian 556

Witch one would you suggest? Witch one would u prefer? Anyone own the Extrema Ratio?

bm 556; however spyderco centafaunte III, native,mini manix are amoung my favorites!
 
The ER has been reviewed in the german speaking forum www.messerforum.net

it was found to be a very nice knife. Appealing design. Tactical - understatement.

The Mini Grip is nice too and with coloured scales it will be nice looking to anyone.
 
I carried a BM mini grip exclusivly for over a year, and found it to be the best knife for it's purpose that I have ever seen, period. It is incredibly strong, very egronomic, lightweight, and non-tactical (I have the one with the baby blue scales). The Axis lock is glass smooth, and the thing is just designed so very well. Get one with D2, and you will have the perfect knife!
 
Maybe a Spyderco Native?

Heck, you might even be able to find a G-10 one on the trade forums (hint, hint;) ).
