It isn't that rare of a model, but it IS a nice knife with a few optional upgrades, namely the double cut finish and the magnum G-10 handles.

Originally they went for $432 + shipping from Busse back in late 2007- early 2008, IIRC. They sell for around that and up a little bit nowadays.

From Busse, the breakdown was...
Basic ASH-1= $297
Optional double cut finish= +$80
Optional magnum G-10 handles +$55
Shipping was $14.95 for one.

Bingo. As usual, Jaxx is "right on."

I've still got one of these, but it's in LA right now.

Lookin' forward to seeing you at BLADE, Jamie!:thumbup: (Got my fingers crossed that nothing "comes up" that keeps you from going. :)(

Well....we try not to scare away the noobs... we were all noobs once.

Welcome to the Busse universe, and Congrats on your first!:cool:

Looks like maybe green linen magnum handles since there is a variation in color. It would take a closer picture to tell for sure, just doesn't look like G-10 to me.

There G10 Magnum handles without a doubt.I do know the difference there not linen for sure.

I am with Rand, they don't look like G-10 to me. But hard to be certain from just that photo.

Yep, they are. :) I had two at one time and one was your ordinary solid color OD green G-10, but the other has a layered look, one layer a little darker than the other. His handles are a match to that. It's actually pretty cool looking, and although I sold one of mine, I kept the one that looks like his solely because I preferred the look of the layered OD green G-10 handles over the other... It's like a green linen version of G-10. :D

I just snapped a close-up for y'all to check out.

The ASH-1 is one of my favorite Busse's. I have way too many of them as a result.

Nice score....

(and I love the layered look of those G10's)
