I need some help with the ID of this knife, my uncle asked me to try and find out some details and if it is worth any money. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

As CWL's link states, registered users, like you and me, cannot ask about the value of knives or any other item. Not for sale, resale, insurance, or estate purposes. Not for any reason.

As far as the identity of the knife, pictures help a lot. Sign up for one of the online image hosting sites, such as Photobucket, upload your pictures, then paste the link into your post.

Especially helpful will be large, clear pictures of any words or numbers on the blade or handles. Blade size, overall length, and handle material information help a lot, too.

I apologize for asking about the value of the knife, I was not aware. An ID would be more than great!!

The blade is sharpened on both sides and is about 6 to 7 inches long. The handle and case metal appears to be a thin pewter or tin like material with very ornate detailing and some oxidization in green and white color. It also appears that there is a waist band or leg band made of some type of animal skin. Thanks in advance for the help!

It is an Omani style Jambiya dagger (from Oman).

All boys & men wore one traditionally.

It could be tin & a tourist version, but that looks like silver to me.
