This is the only knife like this i have seen. Tang of drop point blade is marked "Camillus". The seller claimed it came from "The Camillus Company" collection.
I've not seen this gut hook blade on another Camillus knife. It's very stout.
It is a nicely made, well fitted, strong, useable knife. Handles are a birdseye Maple.
Lovely knife, but i would like to know it's origin. Having only "Camillus" as the marking is not the usual, but the frame is a Camillus pattern and has been used in numerous different offerings.
Was this an SFO ? or regular run, or made after the plant closed by assembling available parts ?
And was there a Camillus Factory Collection, like the Schrade Wall idea ?
thanks for the help. It is truly a fine knife.
