I have this Busse and have had it for some time ........ could you assisit with an ID?

Handle is tan ...age is about 2002 vintage ....... blade is 3/16 wide, handles are thinnish. Sheath ...don't know if supplied with or custom made afterwards.

It's a saber grind but no Busse logo...it's INFI (that much I know  ) ...... first stab is a SFNO as blade is just on 7 inches ..... your thoughts are most welcome.

Sabre Ground SFNO with standard slabs is my guess. As for absence of logo I can't help you there i'm afraid.

Aubrey!!!

How have you been man? Good to see you here again!!!

That is an SFNO with green linen handles I believe!

Very cool!!!!

Jerry :D

Hi Jerry

I have been fine. and how are you and your wife? Thanx for the ID ...... I am just about to start using her :D Ex kind of dented my ability to buy toys but I have recovered now .......... attached image of my user ....still going strong after 12 years. Been buying less knives and using the ones I have harder. I am still tickled by INFI ....... Great blades for Africa and still a Busse hardcore supporter in Africa!

Aubrey,

My wife and I are doing great! We have a little girl now. She is 2 1/2" years old and her name is Katie!!!. . . She is an angel. . . just like her mom!

Glad to hear that you are still pounding away at your INFI ! ! ! !

Visit often!!!

Jerry :D

The user is a Busse Variant that I bought many moons ago. There was a second one with serrations closests to handle. This is my all time favourite Busse shape ..... done many a hunting trip and will never retire. Kind of a BM blade but only 7 inch long. Full 5/16th thick though .... stands for everything Busse Combat is!

Jerry, congrats on the girl!! May she bring much happiness to your family. My two boys are now 11 and 14. Getting to where I am second smallest in the house (lenght only) but I still outweight them by a margin ....... so I get to make the rules.

Kind regards

Aubrey

PS - I have been watching if not posting ;-)

I have worn the grooves on the handle down to very shallow now. Plan to buy a small file and put them back ..... amazing knife and one of the most beautiful and elegant designs I have seen. Still rocks my boat every time I use it.

Dennis, the twin to this one should be in the USA with the serrations ;-)

I like that blade profile more than the spearpoint you usually see on a Steel Heart. Very nice.

Hi Aubrey,

How is the ASH holding up.

Love the MH, old school :) .

Great trading with you, would do it again any time, although the horror stories I have heard since then about the South African PO is Frightening

Hi David

Love the ASH1 ... been at it and scary sharp now. Early winter her now so little fun and games but plan to give it a good work out very soon.

Was a real pleasure dealing with you and yes, the SA post office will steal anything not logged with signature required ;)

Kind regards

Aubrey
