I've lost touch with a woman named Connie K.B (Bailey?) that I got to scrimshaw in color three Katz knives for my husband at three different times in the 90's. Her and her husband (his last name was Whiteowl) had a ranch just north of Billings Montana but they moved somewhere else (southern US) for her to look after her Father. I'm thinking they might have moved back to their ranch but not sure. She said they could see all kinds of wildlife out the back door of their ranch, beautiful spot.

I think she had good contacts at Katz at that time.

We're travelling to Montana in the fall and I'd like to look her up.

Any idea of her name and whereabouts or how I could find out?

I can post pictures of the knives if that helps.

^^^ That's some great detective work from partial clues.

Bit of a drive from Billings to Bangor, though. :p

Nice. Good luck!

My Google Fu is the strongest! I wasn't sure, her last name was similar, and her hubbies name was white HAWK

I was actually stationed, and making knives in Great Falls MT from 85 to 92, and had met them at knife shows.

This is indeed the Connie Bellet I am looking for! Thank you very much for the great detective work! There was another post yesterday that I dont see today - dont remember the fellows name but he was an Engineer and he said he found a write-up about her in the 1990 Knives magazine. That she lived in Ringling Montana at the time and that is the town I remember. How come that post is gone and my reply to it. Anyway Im new on here so am baffled.

Anyway, thanks for your work on this.

Hi JM,

You've posted the same query in two separate forums. The other responses are in Bernard Levine's forum.

Welcome. Glad you found what you needed. :)
