I know next to nothing about swords, but I'd like to know what I have here. The blade is 30" long and the hilt is 6" resulting in an end length of 36". I am assuming the blade is steel; it is somewhat rusty. It has what I believe is a "spear point." The hilt is entirely metal with a white shell-type pommel, a black grip, and a white curved guard. It came in a black leather scabbard with two white safety type guards on it, one on the tip and one around the middle. It appears as though there was writing by the hilt before, but was scratched mostly off; all that remains is "IN INDIA." Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also the sword is one handed

To see pictures of the sword then email me at linkkid7@yahoo.com and i can send you some photos.

If it says "Made in India" on it it was made for export, and is likely a decorative item only. To post pictures, upload them to a site like Picasa or Photobucket and use the image button to add them to your post.
